Jin Canrong is a state-honored “Chang Jiang Scholar” Professor. He is the Associate Dean with the School of International Studies at Renmin University of China.
Despite its chaotic history and territorial disintegration,India has always considered itself part of a unified cultural entity. Then came the British India, which did legally put the South Asian subcontinent, all under its jurisdiction. British India’s sphere of influence extended beyond the South Asian subcontinent to China’s Tibet.
