Until recently, prophecy was the domain of dim parlors run by visually-challenged fortune-tellers—but today, AI has rendered it as easy as a click of a mouse. We simply couldn’t resist the temptation to have AI gaze into the crystal ball of President Trump. After all, he has just ridden a rollercoaster of career highs and lows — from a Sino-U.S. negotiation that closed the chapter on a self-inflicted tariff fiasco, to a $600 billion check from Saudi Arabia, and a luxurious jet from Qatar that raises questions about his professional ethics.

Here’s Trump’s palm reading from the most popular AI apps in China:

As Donald Trump, born in 1946, falls under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Dog, we asked DeepSeek to forecast the month ahead for those born in the Year of the Dog.

DeepSeek’s first piece of advice: Trump should pay special attention to conserving his energy this month. Professionally, he may find himself in a “willing but unable” situation. DeepSeek also specifically warns “retirees” to pace themselves when engaging in public life or side gigs—don’t overcommit.

On the social relations, DeepSeek offers some actionable advice: listen more to your family, avoid being stubborn—especially when it comes to matters of health or finances. Deepseek also suggests that Trump should be tactful when communicating with people born in the Year of the Dragon, Rooster, or Ox.

Finally, DeepSeek issues a special alert: around May 22, Trump may experience mood swings and should avoid major decisions. If possible, he’s advised to wear white crystal or metal jewelry to boost his “metal energy.”

Next, we posed the same question to another Chinese AI app Kimi, which appears much more optimistic. It believes Trump’s recent streak of bad luck will turn around, and he might even meet a “benefactor” who lends a hand. Career-wise, Trump should be prepared—there could be transfers, foreign assignments, or the launch of new ventures. Kimi advises him to take the initiative and actively pursue resources.

Lastly, we consulted Doubao, the language model developed by TikTok’s parent company.

Doubao suggests Trump work more collaboratively and seek advice—but then adds, “At his age, shouldn’t he be enjoying retirement by now?” Financially, Doubao warns that Trump could lose money by moving too fast or making misjudgments. The key, it says, is to focus on preserving wealth instead of chasing big gains.

We now arrive at the conclusion at Trump’s zodiac forecast for the month ahead looks pretty good—especially in his career. He just needs to be diplomatic with colleagues born in the Year of the Dragon, Rooster, or Ox. For the record: Bannon is a Tiger, both Vance and Musk are Pigs, and Powell is a Snake. Trump can probably speak his mind around them. As for whether he’ll make a rash decision around May 22—we’ll just have to wait and see.

By the way, Putin was born in the Year of the Dragon.
